Newborns are so dear to my heart. I grab any opportunity to take their images as they are only that small for a very short time.
Archie came in with his parents for a short mini-session. He was such a good boy, and we took some great images. Mini newborn sessions only last for one hour and we do a limited amount of poses and setups. Clients love doing those mini sessions when they just want to have a few shots of the baby only or they are on a tight budget.
This “tushy up” pose, also known as a “bum up” pose is so cute. You can see the baby’s full body without being exposed.
Wrapping is awesome. It creates different styles and babies love it!
Many parents’ favourite are the macro shots. Those little lips and toes will not stay this little for too much longer and we all like to remember small details.
Every baby loves the potato sack pose. They are carefully wrapped so they can still breath, but nicely supported so they are sitting up. These poses should only be executed by a trained professional! This image is a composite image, which means the baby was supported by an adult at all times, and the hand was removed in Photoshop. Please do not let your photographer do this type of wrap and shot unless you know they are trained and are safely able to do it. Also, do not attempt this at home, as babies are very fragile and it can be fatal if it is not executed properly.

Helga
